Welcome to The Mustard Lady

We are fortunate to build our flavours on the unceded territory of the K’omoks First Nations

(the Sathloot, Sasitla, Ieeksun, Puntledge, Cha’chae, and Tat’poos peoples.)

In 2025, we were honoured to be asked to participate in the Comox Valley Art Gallery’s Youth Media Project.

We worked with student film maker, Arden Powsey. Arden was an incredible person to work with. With their lead and direction, we decided to use the video, to try and capture who we are, and what we do, beyond just making mustard.

Thank you Arden for creating a little glimpse into ‘The Mustard Lady’ and for capturing our truly awkward selves.

We are a small family-run business on Vancouver Island- based out of The Comox Valley. We value flavour and community above all. We work hard to use local ingredients, and strive to keep our projects and products close to our hearts, in order to foster a better food network for everyone. We offer our in house made mustards along side a wide variety of other local products- made by local farmers, local and island based producers, and the people we are lucky enough to call our friends.

While this endeavour originally started off with only mustards in our tiny shop, we are proud to say in just a few years we have expanded and offer cheese and charcuterie boards and boxes to order, as well custom cheese and charcuterie spreads for your parties! We have become the go to for fine cheeses and preserves in the Comox Valley! We look forward to welcoming you into our creaky little shop! xoxo
